This is a story about the childlike courage and belief that anything is possible, which, with age, gives way to doubts – yet the memories of the first challenges remind us that it's worth overcoming fear.
The sound of the bike gears echoes throughout the area. It carries through the fields and rustles through the trees, as we speed toward the sea. Golden sand and rising waves. Everything seems possible - tackling waves bigger than me or digging my way to the bottom of the ocean.
Where is that fearlessness now? Now, I do things scared. For whenever doubt comes over me, I remember what it felt like to swim for the first time amidst the rocking waves.
